U-Turn to "My Road to Hollywood"

The last video on my channel is from 2022 and while I’ve gone long periods without posting, this may be my longest.

I hate to leave so many people hanging, especially when I get lovely comments about how my videos have helped them, but managing a YouTube channel is time-consuming and while I love it, there was always something even more time-consuming that I had to prioritize.

In the last few years, I worked on a few big projects, planned a wedding, was pregnant with twins, and for several months was a stay-at-home-mom to those twins.

Which leads me to this announcement…

If you had asked me 2 years ago if I would ever move back to my home state, Arizona, I would have aggressively said “hell no!” I hate the heat, I love working in the film and television industry in LA, and California seems to have an overflowing list of things to discover and do.

But ever since I was pregnant, I’d pause and think a little longer when asked that question.

There’s nothing I want more than to raise the happiest and healthiest babies surrounded by people who love them most and to experience the “village” I hear it takes to raise them. If you’ve been following “My Road to Hollywood” you know that I moved to Los Angeles with my then-boyfriend, now husband, to follow one of the biggest dreams one can have. We both wanted to become a part of movie magic and with the little we owned, some money in our pockets, and our dog, we moved to Burbank and began our journey.

It’s now been 5 years since we moved, and in those years, we’ve both been a part of some incredible projects. It’s truly been an amazing experience, and I’m very happy I was able to share what I learned and did with you all.

But there’s no industry, weather, or cool vegan spots that triumph knowing my babies will always have an auntie or cousin to shower them with love within a few miles. There's also a huge need for support that I didn't know I'd have until being knee-deep in motherhood. The desire to raise a family surrounded by extended family outweighs the desire to live in LA, so this marks a bittersweet ending to our time in California.

I’m not sure what the future holds for me, or this blog/ YT channel, but I’ll always be around to answer questions in the comments, do resume reviews, and maybe share more about the AZ film community or working remotely in the film industry in California (which is what I'm doing now). I'm even teetering on the idea of just writing content on being a twin mom in AZ, which I know is not my current audience 🙈

I will likely focus a lot on my new family and all there is to being a first-time mom, but if down the line I get back to making YouTube videos again, I hope to still have you in my audience ❤️
